You may send emails only to people who:
- agreed to hear from you,
- have a real connection with you that makes your email expected, such as your customers, members, students or business contacts, or
- you are applying to, such as a professor about a place in their research group or an employer about a job, with an email written for that person.
Personal emails, written from your notes about each person and the pages you link about their work, are only for people who know you in this way, or people you are applying to. Link only public pages about a person’s work, such as their profile, their company’s website or a paper, never their social media or a page that needs a login. When you apply, write only to people whose work or opening fits what you are asking for, and never to a list you bought or copied. Each of these emails ends with a line saying how to stop, and EmailCurator sends at most 50 of them a day from one account.
In every email you send:
- make clear who it is from;
- tell people how to stop getting your emails, and stop emailing anyone who asks, quickly;
- follow the laws that apply to you and to the people you write to, such as Pakistan’s Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 and the anti-spam laws of their countries.
You must not use OpenPromote for:
- spam, or lists you bought, rented, scraped or collected without permission;
- phishing, scams, fake offers, or pretending to be someone else;
- anything illegal, or that helps someone break the law;
- harassment, threats, or hate against anyone;
- sexual content, or anything that harms children;
- viruses, malware or harmful links;
- false or misleading claims, such as fake health cures or money-making schemes.
You also must not try to break, overload or get around how the service works, copy it, or use bots to access it, except where we allow it.
